Exceptional visit of Lama Jampa Thaye (Feb 2-4 2018)

Lama Jampa Thaye is a scholar and meditation master trained in the Sakya and Karma Kagyu traditions of Buddhism with reknown teachers. He holds a doctorate for his work on Tibetan religious history and lectured for over twenty years at the University of Manchester. He is the author of several books on Tibetan Buddhism is renowned for being one of the first Westerners who are authorised to transmit Vajrayana teachings. 


"What is Mindfulness according to the Buddhist tradition?"

Lama Jampa Thaye will explain the Tibetan Buddhist perspective of Mindfulness based on his academic and meditative background.

"Precious teachings on the essential key instructions
of meditation"  

as practiced in the Kagyu lineage, from the Dorje Chang Thungma. 

The Dorje Chang Thungma connects the practitioner to an unbroken lineage of awakened masters in the Kagyu tradition who have, to this day, realized and taught about the enlightened nature of mind. 
Mind's enlightened nature is embodied in the primordial Buddha, Dorje Chang(Sanskrit, Vajradhara). This prayer also offers a concise presentation of the key instructions for meditation. Through reflection and recitation, this prayer dissolves all difficulties and obstacles in meditation allowing one’s mind to rest easily in the natural state. 
Lama Jampa Thaye will present the teachings based on the tratidional text ‘‘The short Prayer to Vajradhara’ (Dorje Changtungma) combined with practical meditation sessions.
